“When I was in high school, I took a jewelry class and then again my freshman year of college. Basic 101 of metalsmithing at Drake University. This class was a test of the students to strive for “perfection”. 3 assignments for the whole semester. I received an A in the end but it was hard to come by. This class pushed me into loving metal and how I can turn it into beautiful pieces of jewelry. I continued on through college in receiving a BFA in Liberal Arts with a major in metalsmithing. After college I was able to land a job as a silver and goldsmith and this is where I grew my love of gemstones along with fine tuning my skills as a metalsmith. I have now been a professional jeweler for 23 years and loving it!”
“In my work, I strive to create pieces of wearable art that is admired and worn often by my customers. I design pieces that are light weight, modern, and unique. I create jewelry for art shows, galleries, my website, and custom work for clients. One of the best feelings in my custom work is being able to create special heirloom pieces for the client to enjoy and pass down.”
“My wedding ring means so much to me. My husband and I sat down together and decided we both love the square rings for comfort and design so I created a square ring with flush set diamonds for both of us to provide an ease of wear along with a modern look. Worn for 18 years now and love it just as much as the first day.”
